OUR HISTORY , PURPOSE, AND GOALS
The Nebraska Branch of the National Postmasters Auxiliary was chartered in 1971. Since that time, Nebraska has been one of the most active state branches in the nation. Many of the members have held state and national offices, and continue to be involved in the Auxiliary after leaving office. Currently, there are approximately 120 members in the Nebraska Auxiliary.
Membership in the Auxiliary consists of Branch Members who are the family of an active Postmaster or Retired Postmasters, the spouses, sons, daughters, father, mother or grandchild. Associate Members are any persons supportive of the National League of Postmasters including Postmaster-in-law, nieces, nephews, employees of the League of Postmasters and their family members, and special friends of Postmasters. B.R.A. T.S. are auxiliary members between the ages of six and twenty one. B.R.A. T. S. stands for "Bringing Real Attributes to Society".
The support of the National Postmasters Auxiliary and the Nebraska Branch Auxiliary to the National League of Postmasters is invaluable. We make the League the only family suported Postmaster organization! Postmasters need all the support they can get on postal concerns. Auxiliary members can rally community support, promote postal concerns, and keep in touch with Congressional Representatives on Postal issues.
Behind the scenes, the Auxiliary works to ensure that League functions run smoothly and that a good time is had by all. The Nebraska Branch hosts a hospitality room at the annual State Convention, provides an evening of entertainment, and hosts a luncheon for the Postmasters. Some of these activities have included putting on skits, planning tours, shopping, fishing, or just plain relaxing together. By becoming a member of the Nebraska Postmasters Auxiliary, you will learn about our organization, and how we support the National League of Postmasters. Most importantly, you will make new friends and be sharing great fun and fellowship.
Get hooked on the Auxiliary!
